David Johnson, 88, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on July 9, 2024, at his home.

Born April 8, 1936 in Detroit, MI, he was the son of the late William and Annabelle (Matthews) Johnson.

David retired after 30+ years from General Motors.

He loved reading and watching old tv shows. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church where he served as a Lecture for a long time.

He is survived by his daughter, Terri Johnson; his son, Michael David Johnson; two grandchildren, Tina Jones (Greg) and Bud Nicholas Jones, Jr. (Bresha); and four great-grandchildren, Catalina, McKenzie, Brave, and Noah.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Glenia Johnson, and their daughter, Tina Marie Ann Johnson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 224 W. Washington Street, Hagerstown, MD. Father David Ray will be the celebrant.
