Obituary

David "Henry" Lee Nigh, 92, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on October 19, 2024, at Chambersburg Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born July 19, 1932 in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Carl Kellar and Theodosia (Lowery) Nigh.

Henry owned and raced horses through Charles Town Races. He was a lifetime member of the Moose Lodge and Amvets. He was the owner of The New Delmar Inn and later retired from Pangborn.

He is survived by his daughter, Tanya Nigh (Dan Moore); grandchildren, Ryan and Jennifer Bloom and Omini and Da'mon Scott; many nieces and nephews; his brother, Gerald Nigh; and sister, Betty Delander.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Janet Bloom and infant Rhonda Jean Nigh; one son, Randy Lee Nigh; and four brothers, Carl Jr., Charles, Harold, and Donald Nigh.

Henry touched the lives and hearts of many. His legacy will continue to inspire all who were fortunate to know him.

The funeral will be held at 2pm on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Assistant Pastor Elder Tracey Brown will officiate.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
