David Alan Engler, 65, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on Friday, March 10, 2023 at Doey's House in Hagerstown. He was born on January 10, 1958 in Fremont, OH to the late Vernon L. Engler and Laura Gangwer Engler.

Dave served in the United States Navy and was employed as a Lead Worker at the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration. Dave was a gentle soul who enjoyed camping, gardening, home-canning fruits, cooking, and spending time with his family. He adored his pets who miss him deeply.

He is survived by his mother, Laura C. Engler of Pueblo, CO, his husband, David A. Warrenfeltz of Hagerstown, MD, his brother, Michael J. Engler and his wife, Terry of Pueblo, CO, his sister, Laura L. Bell and her husband, Jim of Kingman, AZ, his brother-in-law, Barry Warrenfeltz and his wife, Judy of Funkstown, MD, and several nieces and nephews.

The family extends a sincere Thank You to the Transplant Team at University of Maryland Hospital and Midtown Campus 5 North, both in Baltimore, MD and to Doey's House in Hagerstown, MD.

Family and friends are welcomed for a graveside service on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at 11:00am at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, 17636 W. Washington Street in Hagerstown, MD. Pastor Lee Brumback will officiate.
