Darren Lee Hawkins, Sr., 61, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at Meritus Medical Center. Born October 5, 1960 in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late George Wesley Hawkins, Sr. and Eva Virginia (Dofflemyer) Hawkins. Darren retired from J.J. Smith and Sons in Greencastle, PA. Darren is survived by his wife, Sandra Jones; two daughters, Tara McCallum and husband, Christopher, Jr., and Corie Henry; four sons, Darren Hawkins, Jr. and wife, Misty, Robert Hawkins, Matthew Jones and wife, Erica, and Adam Jones; 14 grandchildren; four sisters, Kathy Rogers, Debbie Bonebrake, Pamala Hawkins, and Victoria Smith; and two brothers, Steven Hawkins and George Hawkins, Jr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Colleen Weagley. The family will receive friends at from 6-8pm on Friday, January 7, 2022, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. No other services are scheduled.
