Darlene Marie (Reigel) McPherson, 80, of Big Pool, MD, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at her home.

Born April 19, 1944, in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Todd and Edna (Atherton) Reigel of Clear Spring, MD.

She attended Clear Spring High School and was employed at JC Penney in Hagerstown for 30 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard "Butch" McPherson, Sr.; two sons, Richard McPherson Jr. and Glenn McPherson; and eight sisters.

She is survived by one daughter, Darla McCauley and husband, Jeff; two sons, Dennis McPherson and wife, Kim and Donald McPherson and wife, Sheila; one sister, June Ellis; one brother, Leonard Reigel; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held at 11am on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Pastor Ken Harris will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, October 7, 2024, from 6-8pm.
