Daniel Lee Reed, Sr., 87, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at Creekside Nursing Home.Born October 13, 1935 in Clear Spring, MD, he was the son of the late Charles William and Florence Myrtle (Long) Reed.

Daniel was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby, on April 9, 2017.

He loved his family more than anything. He enjoyed woodworking. He was an avid hunter and liked fishing and gardening as well.

He was a former employee of Jamison Door, where he retired from.

Daniel is survived by his daughters, Lisa Sprecher (Bret) and Deborah Fiedler (Paul); son Daniel Reed, Jr. (Cheryl); grandchildren, Tony, Joshua, Lindsay, Deanna, Danny III, Kelsey, and Brandon; and eight great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his daughter Tammy Sword; brothers, Carl, Fred, and Don; and sisters, Ivy and Betty.

The funeral will be held on at 11am on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD with Pastor Jim Johnson officiating. A viewing will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
