DANIEL LEE HUTZELL, 51, of 643 Spring Meadow Drive, Westminster, Maryland, died on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Born October 7, 1959, in Hagerstown, Maryland, he was the son of Elmer Lee Hutzell of Hagerstown, Maryland, and the late Rita Clark Hutzell. He graduated from Mount St. Mary's College in Emmitsburg, Maryland, where he subsequently earned his Masters of Business Administration. Dan was employed with the State of Maryland, Department of Business and Economic Development. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Westminster. In addition to his father, Dan is survived by his wife of twenty-five years, Kathleen Marie Leonard Hutzell; one son, Sean Francis Hutzell of Westminster, Maryland. He will be dearly missed by a host of very close friends and co-workers. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a. m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 224 West Washington Street Hagerstown. The Rev. George A. Limmer will be celebrant. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Family will receive friends at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. Christian Wake service will be held at 7:00 p. m.
