DAMIAN CARY BETTS, 18, of 17 Wood Street, Woodsboro, Maryland, died on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at the Shock Trauma Center, University of Maryland, in Baltimore, Maryland. Born August 12, 1994, in Layton, Utah, he was the son of Toby G. Betts and Crystal K. Wilt Dunham. He graduated from Walkersville High School in 2012. He was employed by Frederick News Post as a distribution inserter. He enjoyed sports/soccer, music, target shooting, video games, and Netflix. He is survived by sisters, Courtney Betts, Hannah Dunham, and Olivia Dunham; brothers, Christian Betts, and Jacob Dunham; paternal grandparents, Rick and Vicky Betts, maternal grandparents, Rick and Roxanne Tracy; stepmother, Melissa Stevens ; stepfather, Sean Dunham; stepsister, Rylee Stevens; and stepbrother, Shane Stevens. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a. m. Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown. The Rev. David J. Betzner will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 6 to 8 p. m.
