DAVID LEE MOYER, 74, of 13755 Hopps Landing Road, Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Tuesday, March 30, 2004 at the V. A. Center in Martinsburg, West Virginia. Born June 13, 1929 in Hagerstown, Maryland, he was the son of the late Newton H. and Lessie McGuire Moyer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Moyer in 1988. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U. S. Marines. He was retired from Pangborn Corporation. He was a member of the V. F. W. Post 1936, and the American Legion, Morris Frock Post 42. He is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Moyer of Ft. Loudon, Pennsylvania, and Hilda Dwyer of Clear Spring, Maryland; one sister, Ruth Madeline Winchell of Catskill, New York; one brother, Newton H. Moyer, Jr. of Hagerstown; three grandsons, Bradley Dwyer, Joseph Dwyer, and Lauran Dwyer, all of Clear Spring, Maryland. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Laura Elizabeth Holt, Maude Forcini, and Virginia May Kersh. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a. m. Saturday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard. Rev. Edwin Higginbottom will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. Military honors will be conducted at the cemetery by the U. S. Marine Corps. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 7 to 9 p. m.
