D. DARRELL HUFFMAN, SR., 91, of Hagerstown, Maryland, died Monday, April 7, 2008 at the Washington County Hospital. Born March 4, 1917 in Dawes, WV, he was the son of the late Den and Maude Jerdon Huffman. He was preceded in death by Arthur and Minnie Crosby who raised him. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances E. Huffman in 2000. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired from Pangborn Corporation. He was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church for seventy-six years where he taught Sunday School for fifty years. He was also a member of the Board of Trustees. He is survived by one daughter, Cynthia A.(Cindy) Sensenbaugh and husband John of Hagerstown, MD; one son, Paul A. Huffman and wife Carole of Hagerstown, MD; one sister, Hazel Fuller of WV; eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.. He was preceded in death by one son, D. Darrell Huffman, Jr.; one sister, Bernice Beatty; three brothers, Paul Huffman, Raymond Huffman and Freeman Huffman. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Grace United Methodist Church, 717 West Church Street, Hagerstown, Maryland. The Revs. David R. Brosnan and Clark D. Carr will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown, MD from 6 to 8 p.m. and one half hour prior to the services at the church. Memorial donations may be made to Grace U.M. Church Building Fund.
