CYNTHIA JEAN BOVEY, 49, of Hagerstown, MD passed away at her home on Monday, February 20, 2017. Born October 30, 1967 in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Donald Eugene and Nancy Margaret Wilson Shank. Cynthia graduated from North Hagerstown High School. She was a former member of the Hagerstown Lions Club. Cynthia is survived by her husband of thirty years who will greatly miss her, David Bovey, a sister, Keitha Sponaugle and husband, Gregory of Hagerstown; three brother-in-laws, Dwayne Bovey, Dennis Bovey and Daryl Bovey, all of Hagerstown; three nieces, Abigail Scott, Andrea Mollett and Sara Bovey; a nephew, Dalton Sponaugle; two great nieces, Zoey Scott and Isabella Scott; a great nephew, Colton Bean; and her beloved cat, Olivia Jean Bovey. Services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, February 24, 2017 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. Rev. Bill McPherson will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2017.
