CURTIS GARVIN STEVENS, 63, of 11 West Baltimore Street, Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Sunday, September 7, 2008 at his home. Born November 11, 1944 in West Virginia, he was the son of the late James L. and Mellie Bryant Stevens. He graduated from South Hagerstown High School in 1963. He was employed with Pangborn Corporation for 33 years. He attended Valley Assembly of God Church. He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Vickie Stevens; a daughter, Stephanie Vandorsdale of Martinsburg, West Virginia; a sister, Dolly Keller of Williamsport, Maryland; two brothers, Curley Stevens of Greencastle, Pa. and Billy R. Stevens of Boonsboro, Md.; and three grandsons. He was preceded in death by a sister, Dessie Hall and two brothers, James C. Stevens and Kenneth R. Stevens. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. Rev. Robert C. Jones will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
