CRYSTAL DAWN ASPER KNODE. 43, of 322 Vista Street, Hagerstown, Maryland, died Friday, December 16, 2005 at the Martinsburg City Hospital in Martinsburg, West Virginia. Born February 23, 1962 in Charleston, South Carolina, she was the daughter of Edward E. Asper of Boonsboro, Maryland and the late Rose L. Wells Asper. She was a 1980 graduate of Williamsport High School. She was employed with Roc's BP in Marlowe, West Virginia. She was a member of the Concordia Lutheran Church in Hagerstown, Maryland. In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, Daryl W. Knode; one daughter, Beth Ann Byrd of Hagerstown, Maryland; two sons, William J. Von Alt, II of Williamsport, Maryland and Travis E. Byrd, U.S. Army in Korea; one step daughter, Crista Brandenburg of Martinsburg, West Virginia; one step son, Daryl W. Knode of Hagerstown, Maryland; two brothers, Edward E. Asper, Jr. of Boonsboro, Maryland and Robert A. Asper of Hagerstown, Maryland; four grandchildren and three step grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown, Maryland. The Rev. Dr. William R. Burgett will officiate. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Williamsport, Maryland, Rev. James Murr will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p. m.
