Cristie Ann Swain, 56, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away from ovarian cancer on December 26, 2022 at home with her wife, Vaun.

Cristie was born on St. Patrick's Day, March 17, 1966, to Richard Swain and the late Patricia (Taylor) Swain.

She was a 1984 graduate of South Hagerstown High School and was employed for 29 years with Ni-Tec, Inc. of Hagerstown with owners and friends Mike Daley and the late Robyn Daley.

Cristie was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia (Taylor) Swain.

She is survived by her dad, Richard Swain; her sisters, Sherry Swain, of Hagerstown, and Debbie Starr, and husband, Jess Starr, of Smithsburg; her brother, Jeffrey Swain, and wife, Anna, of Florida; and her niece, Tiffany Turner, and husband, Geoffrey Turner, and their daughters, McKaela and Jamie.

She is also survived by her wife and best friend of 9 years, Vaun Miles-Swain, and their three furrbabies, Savannah, Angel, and Gurdy; her daughters, Jamie Beachley, of West Virginia and Brittney Miles, and husband, Bernie Trost, of Hagerstown; her son, Tim Miles II, and wife, Angela Miles; and seven grandkids, Sydney, Lalayla, Timmy, Gianna, Ace, Maddi, and Charlotte.

Cristie is also survived by family and friends (Motley Crew), Jo Kershner, Stephanie Brown, Sharon Rowland, Hope Jenkins, and Amy Swales Miller.

Cristie was an amazing daughter, wife, sister, grandmother, and friend. She loved fishing even though she hated touching the worms and fish that she caught. Cristie will be missed madly, but her spirit will resonate through all who she touched.
