Constance "Connie" Virginia Fitz, 89, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 23, 2024. Born September 9,1934 in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late William "Bud" Boward and Odessa M. (Alger) Boward. She was a 1952 Hagerstown High School graduate, and still attended her high school reunions.

Connie was retired from Giant / Martin Foods. She was a life member of Funkstown American Legion Post 211, the Women's Auxiliary, and she was a fifty year plus member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Connie is survived by her daughter, Debra K. and husband Ron Crowl of Alaska, her son, Donovan R. Fitz and wife Julie of South Carolina, and son, David A. Fitz and wife Heather of Hagerstown, MD; seven grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is proceeded in death by her husband, Roy H. Fitz, and her beloved brother, Donovan "Donnie" M. Boward.

Connie often enjoyed bowling, her admiration and love of Elvis Presley, her cats, she was an avid fan of the Baltimore Orioles and Washington Redskins, the close friendship with her neighbors, and the biggest joy was watching her grandchildren play sports and grow.

The funeral service will be held at 11am on Saturday, June 29, 2024 with Pastor Dionne Hall officiating at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD 21740. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10am.
