Constance "Connie" Jean Younker, 88, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Monday, March 6, 2023, surrounded by family and friends at her home. She was born on December 23, 1934 to the late Kenneth Eugene Leedy and Kathryn Stains Leedy.

Connie was a 1951 graduate of Hagerstown High School, where she played basketball, volleyball, and baseball. She worked at Newberry's, Community Market, and most recently, Wal-Mart. For Connie, working at Wal-Mart gave her a sense of purpose for several years, until she retired in 2022. In addition to her work, she enjoyed bowling and sewing, and she loved cooking family dinners on Tuesdays and Sundays.

In addition to her parents Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Earle Younker, her brother, Charles Leedy, and two sisters, Carolyn Schuman and Beverly Coldsmith.

Connie is survived by two sons, David Younker and his wife, Lisa, and Dayle Younker and his wife, Tina, her grandchildren, Dustin Younker and his wife, Jessica, Brandon Younker and his wife, Kayla, Brittany Resseger, Ashleah Younker, Seth Younker and his wife, Cheyenne, Megan Jones, and Rachael Knicely, her four great-grandchildren, her siblings, Kenneth Leedy, Gregory Leedy, and Donna Miner, and a large extended family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at 2:00pm at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard in Hagerstown. Pastor Allen Robinson will officiate.
