CLYDE DELMAR SHILLING, SR., 76, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. Born June 22, 1938 in Washington County, MD, he was the son of the late Leonard Mynard and Orpha Louise Bowman Shilling. Clyde was the owner/operator of Shillings Heating and AC Company. He enjoyed fishing and being with his family during holidays and special events where he liked to make videos of the events. He was a member of Virginia Avenue Baptist Church. Clyde is survived by his wife, Winifred Anna Shilling; two daughters, Tina LaPole and Kelli Susane Nutter; two sons, Clyde D. Shilling, Jr., and Alan Rae Shilling; one brother, William Shilling; five grandchildren, Julie, Jessica, Bethany, Jacqueline and Brady; and four great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Clyde was preceded in death by five sisters, Ethel Otzelberger, Emma Sprankle, Janice Monninger, Isabelle Shilling, Betty Eaton; and three brothers, Merle Shilling, Robert Shilling, and Joseph Shilling. Services will be held Monday, November 10, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Rev. Dr. Jerry Cooper will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
