Obituary

Clinton Lee Knick, 98, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at Williamsport Nursing Home.

Born August 12, 1926, in Ridgeley, WV, he was the son of the late Isaac F. Knick, Sr. and Lethia (Mowbray) Knick.

Clinton was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Vivian Elizabeth Knick.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. Following his military service, he retired from Eastern Stainless Steel Corp. in Baltimore. Clinton was a former member of the Goodwill Athletic Club (Little Club) and Funkstown American Legion Post 211. He was also a lifelong member of VFW Post 1936 and Amvets, reflecting his continued dedication to veterans' organizations.

He is survived by his stepdaughters, Beverly Suder and husband Leslie "Wink" Suder, and Carol McCreath; his sister, Nancy Dolores Newhouse; as well as numerous step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, and step-great-great-grandchildren. He is also fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Judith Slate; two brothers, Arthur "Harold" Knick and Isaac Knick, Jr.; and two sisters, Helen Meleri and Catherine Marie Athey.

A graveside Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Rose Hill Cemetery, 600 South Potomac St., Hagerstown, MD. Pastor Jimmy Knick will officiate. Graveside military honors by American Legion Clopper Michael Post 10, Boonsboro.
