Obituary

Claude (Tommy) Cline 90, of Longs, SC, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2017, at his home. Born April 20, 1927 in Downsville, MD, he was the son of the late Claude Sr. and Mary Cline. Tommy served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a member of Williamsport Legion. Tommy was a Washington County Deputy Sheriff, a Game Warden for the State of MD, and retired from General Motors. Tommy is survived by his loving wife of 61years, Sarah Jane Cline, whom he married January 14, 1956; two daughters, Kim Bennett and husband, Ronnie, of Longs, SC, and Trudy Tracy and husband, Vernon, of Little River, SC.; four grandchildren, David Bennett, Makayla, Hunter, and Kaitlyn Tracy; two great-grandchildren, Payton and Sage Bennett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Martha Nave, and brother, Robert L. Cline Sr. A Memorial Service will be Saturday, July 22, at 11 a.m. at Minnich Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Bill Divelbiss will officiate. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. Graveside services will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to McLeod Hospice, 4000 Hwy. 9 E, Little River, SC 29566.
