CLARA BLANCHE LINN WATSON, 60 of 55 East Washington Street, Hagerstown, MD, died Saturday, February 7, 2009 at her home. Born November 12, 1948 in Erie, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Alvin M. Linn Sr. of Falling Waters, WV and the late Blanche E. Burton Linn. She was employed with Goodwill Athletic Club. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles No. 694 and the V.F.W. No. 1936 Auxiliary. In addition to her father, she is survived by three daughters, Mary Simmons of Richmond, VA, Anna Starliper and Rebekah Cogar both of Hagerstown, MD; four sisters, Medora Stoneberger of Newville, PA, Sarah Gentile of Greencastle, PA, Rose Jones and Tina Imes both of Hagerstown, MD; six brothers, Samuel Linn of Front Royal VA, Daniel Linn of Chambersburg, PA, Joseph Linn of State Line, PA, Alvin Linn, Jr. of Williamsport, PA, Thornie Linn and Carl Linn both of Hagerstown, MD; six grandchildren, one step grandchild; her companion, Jack Myers of Hagerstown, MD. She was preceded in death by one sister, Edna Baker. A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the Minnich Funeral Home with the Rev. Lewis L. Emerick officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD 21740 to help defray expenses.
