Christie Dawn Koontz, 65, of Maugansville, MD, passed away Thursday, February 20, 2025, at her home.

Born June 24, 1959, in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Paul Junior Johnson and Rebecca Ellen Taylor.

Christie retired from Coffman Nursing Home after dedicating 50 years to her role as a cook.

She is survived by two sisters, Paula Dagenhart and Brenda Shafer and her husband, Bob; two brothers, Brian Johnson and his wife, Paula Jo, and Rodney Johnson and his wife, Karen; four nieces, Mandi Johnson, Tana Dagenhart, Laci Johnson, and Shi Johnson; one nephew, Justin Shafer; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Leon Hasenbuhler.

Private graveside services will be held.
