CHESTER ALLEN "HOT DOG" RAGLAND, SR., 54, of 11006 Coventry Lane, Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at Meritus Medical Center. Born October 2, 1957, in Hagerstown, Maryland, he was the son of Shirley Ann Myers Ragland of Hagerstown. He was employed as a mechanic through Sharrett Inc. for twenty years, and self-employed after that. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Jenny Ragland; two daughters, Tara Miller, and Emily Ragland, both of Hagerstown; two sons, Chester Ragland, Jr., and Justin Ragland, both of Hagerstown; four sisters, Barbara "Susie" Taylor, and husband, Alan, Rose Hopkins, and Mary "Nutty" Palmer, all of Hagerstown, and Patricia "Nannie" Wright of Falling Waters, West Virginia; one brother, Richard "Nink" Myers, Jr. of Hagerstown; six grandchildren; one step-son, Mike Holler of Hagerstown; many nieces and nephews; one step-grandchild; and very special friends, Harry Sprankle, Gary Craft, and many more, all of Hagerstown. He was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Ragland; his step-father, Richard Myers; and one granddaughter. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a. m. Saturday at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown. Pastor Richard E. Rutherford, Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 7 to 9 p. m.
