On December 24, 2020 Cheryl Jean Fertitta suddenly passed of a cardiac event at the age of 69. She was not only a great mother, but a great Grandmother, a best friend, teacher, confidant, provider, personal chef, planner, seamstress, shoulder to cry on, a laugh when we needed it most, drill sergeant when we didn't have our stuff together, the angel on our shoulder when we tried to make bad decisions, a music teacher, a pastor, and a Northern Star when we couldn't find our way. She was the motor, the glue, and the heartbeat of her family. Her children always came first until her grandchildren came along. She lived every single day for her grandkids and was proud to be called their "Mom-Mom". She was a very active 40 year member of Concordia Lutheran Church focusing on numerous charitable organizations and causes. She was given life on June 30, 1951 in Cumberland MD to Shirley and Thomas Morrison. Cheryl is survived by her husband, Vincent Fertitta, Sr; her children, Pam Sines, Vincent Fertitta Jr, Tammy Lane and husband Joseph, Anne Tucker, Anthony Fertitta and wife Andrea, and Jennifer Gray and husband Steven; and grandchildren Brittany Donarski and husband Evan, Jakob Lane, Spenser Lane, Ian Lane, Morgan Tucker, Camden Fertitta, Katelynn Tucker, Macey Tucker, Daniel Wolfensberger, Kolby Gray, Ian Gray, and Seth Gray. Viewing is scheduled for Sunday January 3rd between 2pm-4pm at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown MD 21740. Service will be January 4th at 10:00am at the Concordia Lutheran Church, 17906 Garden Lane, Hagerstown MD 21740. Pastor Mark Moretz will officiate. Graveside service will follow the church service at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown. Her family would prefer donations to the Lutheran Women's Missionary League (Please reach out to Concordia Church attn: LWML) in lieu of flowers.
