CHARLOTTE LAURANN DIXON, 77, of 11400 Stonecroft Court, Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Friday, June 24, 2011 at the Williamsport Nursing Home. Born March 9, 1934 in West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Ernest William and Vergie Cutlip Garton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas L. Dixon in 1993. She is survived by one daughter, Jackie Burkholder of Hagerstown; one sister, Vera Kennedy of Cumberland, Maryland; two brothers, Ed Garton of Baltimore, Maryland, and Jim Garton of Hagerstown; one granddaughter, and two great-grandsons. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to help defray the funeral expenses.
