Charlotte JoAnn Barron, age 86, passed away on February 6, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Born February 8, 1938, in Boonsboro, MD, she was the daughter of the late John and Myrtle Morgan.

In addition to her parents, JoAnn was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles D. Mills, Sr. She later married Wayne J. Barron, and they were happily married 52 years until his passing in 2018.

She was a 1956 graduate of Boonsboro High School.

JoAnn was a homemaker and manager of the family rental properties. She was a member of both The Landlords Association and the Ladies of the Elks #378. JoAnn loved to travel, particularly her trips to Myrtle Beach, and she loved her beautiful dog, Angel. In her later years, she enjoyed spending precious time with her good friends at Somerford House in Hagerstown.

JoAnn is survived by her loving daughters, Debra Tosten (David) of Hagerstown and Joni Moreno of Florida; two beautiful and talented granddaughters, Sierra Tosten of Durham, NC and Daniela Moreno of Naples, FL; her sister, Phyllis Armstrong of Boonsboro; and many nieces and nephews who were loved and very special to JoAnn, as were her wonderful neighbors on Blue Spruce/Redwood Circle.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Isabelle Showe (Harvey), Nancy Grimes (Samuel), Shirley Hessong; her brother Wayne Morgan (Virginia); and special brother-in-law, Donald (Sam) Armstrong, Sr.

The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the entire staff of Somerford House for the excellent care provided to JoAnn.

Friends and family are invited to honor JoAnn's memory during a visitation on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, from 6-8pm, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11am on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Minnich Funeral Home.
