CHARLES RICHARD WALTER, 64, formerly of Hagerstown, died Sunday, June 26, 2011 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Martinsburg, West Va. Born March 25, 1947 in Waynesboro, Pa., he was the son of the late Charles and Louise M. Barnhart Walter. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the American Legion Post 42; V.F.W. #1936 and Disabled American Veterans. He is survived by a sister, Dorline Monn of Greencastle, Pa. ; an uncle and cousins. Graveside services will be Wednesday at 9:00 a. m. at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. There will be no viewing. Arrangements by Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd.
