Charles W. Miner, 88, of Hagerstown, MD, went to be with his Lord and his wife on May 5, 2018. He was born September 14, 1929, in Smithsburg, MD, to the late Jack and Mary Miner. Charles was preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Patricia A. Miner; son, Charles D. Miner; and grandson, Jeremy W. Miner. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Preston Fouke; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Tammy Miner; son and fianc, Donald Miner and Debbie Guessford; 12 grandchildren, Amy Staley, Heather Guessford, Andrew Miner, Jack Miner, Alice Miner, Cortney Miner, Jesse Miner, Amanda Mulieri, Lindsey Hartman, James Rapson, Karen Brown, and Jessica Green; 19 great grandchildren; two sisters, Jane Miner and Fran Alton. He proudly served as a Veteran of the Korean War and served over 40 years in the Army Reserves (retired). He also retired, after 26 years, from Mack Truck. Charles was a member of Amvets Post 10 and Morris Frock Post 42, The American Legion. The funeral service will be held 11am, Thursday, May 10, 2018, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Chaplain Pius Akajiofor will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. Graveside military honors provided by Joint Veterans Council and Marine Corp. League of Hagerstown. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral.
