CHARLES EDWARD MILLER, JR., 74, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away March 22, 2018 at Winchester Medical Center. Born August 18, 1943 in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Charles Edward Miller, Sr. and Hazel Garnetta (Snyder) Miller. Charles was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving in the Vietnam War. He was a former member of St. Johns Lutheran Church. Charles was previously employed by Fairchild Aircraft, where he had worked on the A10. He also worked in Sweden for SAAB Aircraft and was an auto mechanic at several car dealerships. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Barbara (Bean) Miller; two daughters, Kimberly (Stephens) Levin, of Lusby, MD and Aretha Funk, Mercersburg, PA; two sons, James Michael Miller, Clear Spring and Charles E. Miller, III, Mercersburg, PA; and five granddaughters, Katriel Levin, Amber Funk, Mikala Duffield, Anna Miller and Amber Herrell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Janie Miller. Services will be held 11 am Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Pastor Linda Alessandri will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. Graveside Military honors will be conducted by Joint Veterans Council and Marine Corp. League of Hagerstown. The family will receive friends Tuesday one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
