CHARLES SAMUEL (CHARLIE) LEWIS, 91, of Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Friday, May 04, 2007 at the Washington County Hospital. Born April 16, 1916 in Hagerstown, Maryland, he was the son of the late John Samuel and Elizabeth Boppe Lewis. He was employed with Potomac Edison for forty-five years, retiring as a Supervisor in the Meter Test Department. He was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church. He was a member of the American Legion, Morris Frock Post 42, B.P.O.Elks 378, and the North American Rod & Gun Club. He is survived by his wife of seventy years, Margaret L. Lewis; one daughter, Laura Shindle, and her husband Edward, of Greencastle, Pennsylvania; two grandchildren, Jason Shindle of McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania, Jana Egolfand her husband R. J. of Greencastle, Pennsylvania; and three great-grandchildren, Blake Egolf, Cole Egolf, and Sawyer Egolf. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Lewis, two sisters, and three brothers. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p. m. Monday at the Otterbein United Methodist Church. Rev. Dr. Stephen D. Robison will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the MINNICH FUNERAL HOME, 415 East Wilson Boulevard on Sunday from 7 to 9 p. m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Otterbein United
