CHARLES GARLAND GROH, 77, of 13121 Fountain Head Road, Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Friday, November 28, 2008 at the Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown, Maryland. Born June 21, 1931 in Hagerstown, Maryland, he was the son of the late Garland and Catherine Groh. He was a graduate of Johns Hopkins University. He served in the U. S. Army. Charles and his brother owned and operated several real estate businesses in Washington County. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis W. Groh of Hagerstown; two sons, Gail H. Wolfe, and wife Shirley, of Mercersburg, Pennsylvania, and Adrian I. Wolfe, and his wife Tara, of Bellingham, Washington; two grandsons, Spencer and Avery Wolfe of Bellingham, Washington; and one brother, Vincent Groh of Hagerstown. Charles was active with the Lion's Club of Hagerstown, St. Ann's Catholic Church, San Mar Children's Home, The Maryland Symphony, and Hagerstown Community College. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p. m. Monday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard. Rev. C. Doug Kenney will officiate. Burial will be in Beaver Creek Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 6 to 8 p. m. Prayers will be recited at the funeral home at 7:45 p. m.
