CHARLES MERVIN EBERSOLE, 82, of Hagerstown, Maryland, passed into the arms of the Lord on Monday, November 1, 2010 at Fahrney Keedy Home in Boonsboro, Maryland. Born July 2, 1928 in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late David Kauffman and Annalee Martin Ebersole. He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-seven years, Kathryn Virginia Ebersole on June 8, 2007. He served in the U. S. Army, and was assigned with occupational forces in Germany, during the Korean War. He was employed by Dial Corporation for 20 years, retiring in 1993, and previously with Beech-Nut Baby Food for 20 years. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church for over 50 years. He was a member of Friendship Men�s Sunday School Class, and served as Sunday School Superintendent. He was a member of Amvets Post #10, and A.A.R.P. He is survived by one daughter, Cynthia Kay Boyd, and her husband, Ray, of Smithburg; one son, Charles David Ebersole, and his wife, Marie, of Hagerstown; three sisters, Helen M. Starleper and Evelyn M. Roelke, both of Hagerstown, and Kathryn M. Fiery of State Line, Pennsylvania; two brothers, Richard M. Ebersole of Lakeland, Florida, and Lawrence M. Ebersole of Greencastle, Pennsylvania; one step grandson, Ryan L. Boyd, and wife, Kristin; and one step great-grandson, Collin Boyd. He was preceded in death by one sister, Leah M. Bowlus; and one brother, Daniel M. Ebersole. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a. m. Friday at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown. The Rev. Clark D. Carr will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by Amvets Post #10, and Marine Corp League of America. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6 to 8 p. m.
