Charles "Bud" Albert Shank, 95, of Hagerstown, MD, went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at his home.

Born September 26, 1928, in Fairview, MD, he was the son of the late Bruce A. and Mary Mae (Bartles) Shank.

Charles retired from Mack Truck. He previously worked for the State of Maryland Department of Corrections and Fairchild. He was a member of Evangel Baptist Church

Charles is survived by his wife of 75 years, Fay E. Shank; four sons, Bruce "Sonny" L. Shank and wife, Becky, Charles R. Shank and wife, Melissa, Wayne L. Shank and wife, Dottie, and Pastor Ronald L. Shank and wife, Nancy; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Anna Mae Harnish, Mary "Gertie" Gladhill, and Betty J. Boyd.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Ethel I. Drury and Helen V. French, and two brothers, Earl A. Shank and George C. Shank.

The funeral will be held at 11am on Monday, May 20, 2024, at Evangel Baptist Church, 17922 Broadfording Rd., Hagerstown, MD. Pastor Ron Faith will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD, on Sunday, May 19, 2024, from 6-8pm.
