Chad Michael Widmyer, 39, passed away in his hometown of Hagerstown, MD, on April 14, 2024. Born on August 29, 1984, to Jim Widmyer and Carolyn (Iman) Widmyer. He spent his life among the people and the community he cherished. His infectious passion for the culinary arts led him to a fulfilling career as a chef at Meritus, where he touched many lives with his vibrant cuisine.

Chad is lovingly remembered by his devoted sister, Janice Topper (Wayne), his niece Juliet Duckfield (Ryan), and his nephew Christopher Topper. He also leaves behind many caring aunts, uncles, cousins, and his beloved grandmother Donna Snider, who, along with his fur baby Morty the cat, will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Carl Iman and Phillip Snider.

Absent from sight but never from heart, Chad's loving spirit will be forever preserved in the recipes and memories he shared.

The funeral will be held at 1:30pm on Monday, April 22, 2024, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD with Pastor Bill Divelbiss officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
