CATHERINE JEANNETTE (MICKEY) WITMER, 78, of Village Mill Drive, Maugansville, Maryland, died on Thursday, November l, 2007 at the Western Maryland Hospital. Born March 12, 1929 in Hagerstown, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Evelyn Miller Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nathan Paul Witmer in 1984. She was employed with the Western Maryland State Hospital for twenty-nine years, retiring in 1987. She is survived by one daughter, Cindy L. Gaylor of Hagerstown; one son, Dennis She was preceded in death by one sister, Thelma Turner; and two brothers, Bill Smith and Ernie Smith. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a. m. Monday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard. Rev. Louis L. Emerick will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 6 to 8 p. m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Western Maryland Hospital Auxiliary, 1500 Pennsylvania Avenue, Hagerstown, Maryland 21742.
