CATHERINE LOUISE WHORTON, 78, of Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Sunday, December, 16, 2012 at Reeders Memorial Home in Boonsboro, Maryland. Born June, 21, 1936, in Hagerstown, Maryland, She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Whorton, Sr. who died July 2003. She is survived by two daughters; Barbara Foerester, of Hedgesville, WV, and Sandi Castle, of Boonsboro, MD; three sons, James Whorton, of Clear Spring, Md., Roy Whorton Jr., and William Whorton III, both of Hagerstown; five grandchildren, Joenda whorton, of Falling Waters WV., Alexa Castle, Tyler Castle, Jacob Castle, and Taylor Castle, all of Boonsboro, Md. She is preceded by one granddaughter, Trista Whorton. Graveside services will be held at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, 17636 W. Washington St., Hagerstown, Maryland, on Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. The Rev. Louis L. Emerick will officiate. There will be no viewing. Arrangements are by Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown.
