C. GERALDINE ITNYER of Gaithersburg, Maryland, was called to rest May 17th, 2011 at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital. She was the wife of the late Merle Joseph Itnyer. C. Geraldine, who they called "Deanie", was born May 15, 1917 in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Frank L. and E. Maud Hammond. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and a great-grandmother of five. She was a member of St. Peter's (Beard's) Lutheran Church. She started attending Beard's Church at the age of twelve, and served on many committees throughout the church. Among her favorite hobbies were her flowers, and, most of all, her baking many delicious desserts for her great-grandchildren. She always knew what each enjoyed, and made sure they received them when they visited her. She is survived by a daughter, Norma Jean Stouffer, and husband, Charles, of Clarksburg, Maryland; two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday May 21 12:00 p. m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown. The Rev. Thomas L. Perry will officiate. Interment will be in Rest Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
