It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Cassandra Dawn Stansberry Myers, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, who departed this life on January 30, 2025, in Hagerstown, Maryland, at the age of 55. Born in Winchester, Virginia, on October 1, 1969, Cassandra's life was a tapestry woven with love, kindness, and a deep appreciation for the beauty of the world around her.
Cassie was a remarkable woman who devoted her life to her family and her passions. She is survived by her devoted husband of 26 years, Rick Myers, who stood by her side through life's many ups and downs. Two daughters, Mariah Myers and Breaunna Anderson and her stepson, Ricky Myers, who were the light of her life. Cassie's joy was further amplified by her granddaughter, Isla Genevieve Showalter. She leaves behind a legacy of love and strength that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Cassie also cherished her fur babies, Bruno, Jenna, King, and Blue, who brought her endless joy and companionship.
Cassie's educational journey began at John Handley High School, she embarked on a fulfilling career at Berwick Offray, formerly known as Maryland Ribbon, where she dedicated eight years of her life to creating and sharing beauty through her work.
Her hobbies reflected her nurturing spirit and love for nature. Cassie found immense joy in feeding squirrels, birds, and the neighborhood cats, a testament to her compassionate heart. She adored the outdoors, where she often found solace and inspiration, reminding us all of the simple pleasures in life.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Cassie's life at Minnich Funeral Home on February 5, 2025 at 7:00 PM. There will be a gathering from 5-7pm with an opportunity for all who loved her to come together, share memories, and honor the indelible mark she left on our lives.
Cassie's spirit will continue to resonate in the laughter of her children, the purrs of her furry companions, and the gentle rustling of leaves in the trees she adored. She will be remembered not only for her love and commitment to her family but also for her kindness to all creatures great and small.
As we say goodbye to Cassie, we are reminded of the love she shared and the many lives she touched. Her memory will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration to her family and friends. Rest in peace, dear Cassie. You will be deeply missed.
