CARROLL MAYNARD HAYNES, 91, of Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at Julia Manor Nursing Home. Born September 5, 1915 in Rohrersville, Maryland, he was the son of the late David Harold and Elsie Catherine Haines Haynes. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U. S. Army in Europe. He was employed with Farmers & Merchants Bank. He was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church. He was a former member of the Rohrersville Band, and the Municipal Band in Hagerstown where he was the former Treasurer and Secretary. He was the former Treasurer of the Washington County Chapter of March of Dimes. He is survived by his wife of sixty-nine years, Gladys Virginia Haynes; one son, Philip R. Haynes of Hagerstown; two brothers, Glenn Haynes of Boonsboro, Maryland, and Richard Haynes of Rohrersville, Maryland; two granddaughters, Pamela D. Dunn, and Krista N. Wallech, both of Hagerstown; three great-grandchildren, Brittany Obitts, Matthew Dunn, and Emmalee Wallech; and three step-great-grandchildren, Joshua Wallech, Dallas Dunn, and Lauren Dunn. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p. m. Sunday at the MINNICH FUNERAL HOME, 415 East Wilson Boulevard. Rev. Clark D. Carr will officiate. Burial will be in Locust Grove Cemetery in Rohrersville, Maryland. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 7 to 9 p. m.
