Obituary

CARRIE HENRIETTA LYNN, 89, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2016 surrounded by her family. Born, August 15, 1927 in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Hubert Elwood and Lillie Biser Stover. Carrie was a 1945 graduate of Hagerstown High School. She retired from Washington County Board of Education in 1993 after twenty-nine years of service as a Food Service area manager. Carrie was a member of Grace Brethren Church. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, mother-in-law and a loyal friend to everyone. Carrie loved to bake and sew for her family. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. Carrie is survived by her loving husband of sixty-four years, Cecil Lynn; two sons, Woody Lynn and wife, Kitty of Hagerstown, MD and Mickey Lynn and wife, Donna of Hagerstown, MD; a daughter, E. Catherine Burner of Florida; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Carrie was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Services will be held at 11:00am, Friday, November 18, 2016 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. Hagerstown, MD. Pastor Jay Fretz will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown, MD. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 pm, Thursday, November 17, 2016. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742. Online condolences are accepted at www.minnichfh.com.
