CAROLYN L. MURFIN, 71, of Hagerstown, Maryland passed away Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Meritus Medical Center. Born November 9, 1942 in Hagerstown, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin E. and Mayme V. McConaughey Weller. Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Howard R. Murfin in 1998. She was a 1960 graduate of Hancock High School. She retired from Washington County Board of Education as a bus driver. She is survived by one daughter, Brenda L. Garber and husband, Jerry of Hagerstown, MD; two sons, Bruce A. Murfin and wife, Jaynese and Brian E. Murfin all of Hagerstown, MD; two sisters, Doreen Swisher of Hagerstown, MD and Gloria McConnell of Clayton, NC; two brothers, James R. Weller of Ellenwood, GA and Donald E. Weller of Martinsburg, WV; one granddaughter, Nicole L. Garber of Hagerstown, MD; numerous nieces and nephew and her companions, Choo Choo and Bubba. She was preceded in death by twin sister, Carol Lynn and a brother John W. Weller. There will be no viewing or visitation. Burial services will be private at the convenience of the family.
