Carolina Poole of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026, at Meritus Medical Center.

She was born in Hagerstown, May 17, 1947, to the late Leslie Clements Hawks, Sr. and Ethel Irene (Hawbaker) Hawks.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Poole, five sisters, Betty Churchey, Jackie Hawks, Margaret Guessford, JoAnn Bryan, and Hedi Hawks; and six brothers, John Hawks, Bill Hawks, Jumbo Hawks, Paul Hawks, Donnie Hawks, and Frank Hawks. Carolina was the last surviving sibling.

She attended North Hagerstown High School; and loved bowling, bingo, shopping, and puzzle books.

She is survived by a daughter, Kelly Lee Poole; a granddaughter, Lindsey Kneisley; and one great grandson, Jaylin Jov Enriquez.

For 20 years, Carolina was devotedly cared for by her special niece, Theresa Flook, and husband, Ronnie. Theresa ensured she was surrounded by comfort, dignity, and love every day. This season of care was a testament to the deep bond they shared and the compassion that defined their relationship.

Also surviving are four special nieces, Patty Everitt, Brenda Stouffer, Theresa Smoot, Tracey Moss, and other nieces and nephews.

At Carol's request, there will be no viewing.

Graveside services will be 1pm Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, 17636 W. Washington St., Hagerstown, MD.
