CAROL JOANNE "KAY" SHANK, 81, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2015 at Meritus Medical Center. Born July 8, 1933 in Columbia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Elizabeth Musser McMahon. Kay was preceded in death by her husband, Carl T. Shank, in 1996. Until Kay's recent decline with her health, she volunteered at Easter Seals, Habitat for Humanity, and Frances Murphy Senior Apartments. Kay loved spending time with her family. She is survived by one daughter, Sherry Brown Cooper of Williamsport, MD; one son, Michael Shank of Charleston, WV; one brother, Charles McMahon of Rehoboth Beach, DE; and one grandson, Ian Shank. In addition to her parents and husband, Kay was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Bradley. Services and burial will be private.
