Carol Ford, 82, of Sebastian, FL died on April 9, 2023, after a short illness.

She was born in Hagerstown, MD in 1940 to Lee and Irene Greenfield. She is a 1958 graduate of South Hagerstown High School.

Carol loved to cook and entertain friends and family at her home in Florida. She and her husband, Jim, were members of the Sebastian Power Squadron for many years. She was wonderful with animals and her family could always count on her for an honest opinion. She attended her high school reunions regularly and stayed connected with her hometown of Hagerstown.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee Franklin Greenfield and Helen Irene Greenfield. She is survived by her husband, James Ford, of Clearwater, FL, her sons, Mark Rutter (Brenda) of Martinsburg, WV, Scott Rutter of Fort Lauderdale, FL, and Todd Rutter (Kathleen) of Tucson, AZ. She is also survived by her brother, Tom Greenfield (Sue Ellen), her stepchildren, Christa Connor (Keith), Cari Hotter (Tim) and Chandon Ford, her niece, Mina Greenfield (Keith), and six step-grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors on Monday, May 20th from 11am to 1pm at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. A graveside service at Rose Hill Cemetery in Hagerstown, MD will follow immediately afterwards.
