Obituary

CARMEN ADALIA ARVIN, 70, of 11 East Green Street, Funkstown, Maryland, died on Monday, December 26, 2005 at the Washington County Hospital. Born October 22, 1935 in Hagerstown, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Paul Ruffino and Catherine Sharer Doyle. She was employed with E. J. Fennel, and was part owner and operator of Glenn's Tavern. She was of the catholic faith. She is survived by her husband, Richard Glenn Arvin; four daughters, Michele Maxwell of San Jose, California, Tina Bussard, and Cynthia Harvey, both of Hagerstown; and Gina Howard of Funkstown, Maryland; two sons, Richard G. Arvin, Jr. of Funkstown, Maryland, and John Arvin of Hagerstown; two half-sisters, Anita Haines, and Gloria Doyle, both of Hagerstown; two aunts, Sarah Hendricks of Hagerstown, and Juanita Norris of Ironton, Ohio; a brother-in-law, Wayne Arvin of Williamsport, Maryland; ten grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her step-father, Harold Doyle. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p. m. Friday at the MINNICH FUNERAL HOME, 415 East Wilson Boulevard. Rev. Ken R. Harris will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 7 to 9 p. m. The Arvin Family wishes to thank the Funkstown Moose for the use of the back room where the reception will be held following the service.
