CARL LEROY PEPPLE, 73, of Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Tuesday, April 09, 2013 at Meritus Medical Center. Born July 14, 1939, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Carl Richard and Viola Mae Monninger Pepple. He was retired after thirty-three years with Duvinage Corporation. He was a member of Moose Lodge No. 212, and held office as Prelate, as well as Prelate for the Ritual Team. He was in the 50th division of the 25 club. Carl had been a cub scout leader, and had been a big brother with Washington County. He was an avid fisherman and bingo player. He is survived by one daughter, Michelle Hancock of Funkstown, Maryland; two brothers, Richard Pepple of Smithsburg, Maryland, and Charles E. Pepple of Maugansville, Maryland; one granddaughter, Julia Ann Hancock; and one grandson, Jason Hancock. He was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Ann Middlekauff, and one brother, Terry L. Pepple. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 a. m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown. The Rev. Louis L. Emerick will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. Family will receive friends on Thursday from 7 to 9 p. m. at the funeral home.
