Carl William Jesse, 86, of Williamsport, MD, passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021. He was born on May 13, 1935 in Larksville, PA to Charles Jesse and Emily Weeks Jesse. Carl was a graduate of Harter High School, and he later went on to earn an Associate degree in Accounting from Wilkes-Barre Business College in PA. Carl later graduated from the U.S. Army Finance School. He married Nancy Jesse on November 30, 1957. Carl served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1957 thru 1963. He was on active duty for 6 months in 1957 and was a Specialist 5th class at his time of honorable discharge. He retired from the IRS Computing Center in Martinsburg, WV in 1990 after 37 years of service to the federal government. He was a baseball coach for the Conococheague Little League and an active parent chaperone for the Williamsport High School Blue Band. He was a member of the Westernaires Square Dance Club for many years. He also enjoyed playing golf with his friends every week during good weather. He was an avid bowler and participated in a bowling league with his other IRS coworkers. He was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Hagerstown, MD since 1965 where he was treasurer for many years. He was very active in many other activities at church, such as, ART Show Committee, Augustoberfest Committee, yard sale, Christmas tree sales, and counting money. He is survived by his wife of over 63 years, Nancy E. Jesse, his son, David Jesse (Debbie), his daughter, Gayle Myette (Jim), his five grandchildren, Dana, Kara, Michael, Douglas, and Benjamin, two brothers, and one sister. Funeral services will be private.
