CANDEE MARIE WHITE, 43, of 10819 Lincoln Avenue, Hagerstown, Maryland, died Saturday, March 26, 2011 at her home with her family after a courageous battle with cancer. Born September 8, 1967 in Hagerstown, Maryland, she was the daughter of David "Pete" Knode and Dorian "Sis" Kneisley Knode of Hagerstown. Candee was a 1985 graduate of South Hagerstown High School. She was employed with Brethren Mutual Insurance Company for twenty three years. She actively participated in Relay for Life. Candee was a die-hard Yankee, Tar Heel, and Washington Capitals fan. She loved spending time with her family. In addition to her parents she is survived by her husband of eleven years, James J."Jimmy" White; two daughters, Amy Hess and Haylee White both at home; one sister, Jodi Decker of Greencastle, PA; two brothers, David Knode of Hagerstown and Rick Knode of Wake Forest, NC; and her faithful companion, Mollie. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Michael Louia will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family to help with medical expenses.
