CANDACE LOU WEAVER, 59, of Hagerstown, MD, died Thursday, May 24, 2012 at her home. Born April 16, 1953 in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of Betty Lou Gladhill Weaver of Hagerstown, and the late Donald E. Weaver. She retired from the Washington County Hospital after thirty-five years of service and was employed with Home Health Care. She was a member of Virginia Avenue Baptist Church. She was a member of Funkstown American Legion Auxiliary Post 211 and the Morris Frock American Legion Auxiliary Post 42. In addition to her mother, she is survived by a sister, Joyce Moore and husband, Johnny of DE; a brother, Donald J. Weaver and wife Letty of TX; uncle, Tom Gladhill and wife, Joyce of Hagerstown; a niece, Tisa Weaver; two nephews, Jeff Weaver and Dustin Moore; best friends, Howard Whittington and Doyayne Schader; numerous family, friends and church family. She was preceded by a brother, Barry Weaver. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Virginia Avenue Baptist Church, 17426 Virginia Avenue, Hagerstown, MD. The Rev. Wendell McClellan will officiate. Burial will be in Park Head Cemetery, Big Pool, MD. The family will receive friends on Tuesday at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown from 6 to 8 p.m.
