CALVIN EUGENE TURNER, 67, of 210 East Avenue, Hagerstown, Maryland, died Sunday, November 23, 2008 at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Born August 9, 1941 in Sharpsburg, Maryland, he was the son of the late Glen Turner and Catherine Myers Turner Witmer. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Daisy Gaynor Turner. He was retired from the Washington County Roads Department after thirty-seven years of service. He is survived by his second wife, Dorothy Trent; three sons, Mark Beachley and Donnie Kennedy both of Florida and Brian Beachley of Hagerstown, MD; one sister, Glenda Laughman of Hagerstown, MD; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Kelly Nave. Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown, MD. The Rev. Jerry Lowans will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. The family requests the omission of flowers.
