BYRON LAMBERT, 93, formerly of Bridgewater, Virginia and Hagerstown, Maryland died Tuesday, January 11 at Arden Courts Assisted Living in Silver Spring, MD. Born December 30, 1911 in Oceola, West Virginia he was the son of the late Lafayette and Sarah Elizabeth Bennett Lambert. He was preceded in death by his wife, June Kisamore Lambert to whom he was married 64 years. He attended the University of West Virginia. He served in the U.S. Army 1935-38, serving in the 21st Infantry. He owned and operated a service station in Franklin, W. VA. He was employed with Fairchild Industries in the Protection Division for 35 years retiring in 1977. He was a member of the Bridgewater Church of the Brethren and also a member of Pendleton Masonic Lodge A.F. & A. M. #144 in Franklin, W. VA. for over 50 years. He is survived by two sons, John K. Lambert of Silver Spring, MD and Kenneth Wayne Lambert of Bridgewater, VA; two sisters, Mildred Mitchell and Dessie Hedrick both of Franklin, W. VA.; foster brothers and sisters; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, David Byron Lambert in 1990 and also by a sister, Sylvia Huffman and brother, A. Greene Lambert. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 1:00pm at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown with Rev. Louis L. Emerick officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the funeral home. The family requests the omission of flowers with memorial donations being made to the American Heart Association, P.O.
